Back in November Electric Forest revealed their 2017 lineup filled with both live and electronic-based music. It was also revealed that for the seventh year of the festival Electric Forest is not only going to be one weekend but for the first time will take place on two distinct and back-to-back weekends at a lower capacity. In fact, the capacity for each weekend will be reduced by approximately 10% from 2016. All 2017 General Admission and Good Life wristbands will remain at the same prices as 2016. And yesterday, January 2nd, they announced the addition of Flume to the second-weekend lineup as well as Dillon Francis to both weekends! Each weekend of Electric Forest promises be completely different from the other with none of the eight total days being the same.
Even with some artists pulling double duty including The String Cheese Incident, Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Claude VonStroke, Lotus, and now Dillon Francis (who are all performing on both weekends) Electric Forest is promising two completely different sets for each weekend.
Weekend One is set to include huge names such as ODESZA, My Morning Jacket, Above & Beyond and Nero (Live). But Weekend Two is nothing to scoff at either with RL Grime, DJ Snake, Thievery Corporation, Sub Focus and Flume!
Curated Events that have been released include the ever popular Bassrush, a Dirty-Bird filled Bird House, Crew Love, Foreign Family Collective, Future Classic, Her Forest, HI-LO presents Heldeep, Night Bass, No Xcuses, and Turntablists. The String Cheese Incident will also be offering a very special SCI Sound Lab Live experience on the First Weekend and the traditional SCI Saturday Shebang will take place on the Second Weekend.
With 8 days of music and the promise that no day will be alike fans of the festival can look forward to hearing some of the acts unplugged, unusual collaborations, specialized themed sets as it aims for a truly epic experience.
