Pop punk outfit, In Her Own Word, got their start in 2010, garnering fans of the genre with their catchy and melodic pop punk tracks. The streamlined approach that In Her Own Words bring to the genre can be likened to bands such as Four Year Strong and A Day to Remember.
The Los Angeles four-piece is comprised of Joey Fleming (vocals), Ian Berg (guitar), Eric Ruelas (bass) and Omar Sultani (drums). Over the years, the group has attained success from tours with Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, and their popular debut EP, Brand New Me. 2013 saw he release of their second EP, Everything I Used to Trust, which their rise in popularity and won them a bevy of new fans. The band described their latest EP– 2015’s Bad Weather –as their most cohesive project to date, as each member’s ideas are showcased through the EP’s 5 songs. As for the future of In Her Own Words, touring and recording seem to be top priority.
