Dumbfoundead @ The New Parish 2/17

Los Angeles’ Korean Jesus is coming to San Francisco this spring. Make sure to mark your calendar to hit up Dumbfounded on his We Might Die Tour. The tour also features Year of the Oz and DJ ZO.

Dumbfoundead’s rhymes are sick, fresh, and funny. He capitalized on the internet’s fascination with the gorilla Harambe with his song Harambe which climbed to Spotify’s number one on the United State Viral 50 playlist back in August. The song’s mix of comedic and satirical lyrics are fresh and infectious. Trust me, I heard it about 10 times straight at three different college parties in one night. The rapper most recently dropped his album We Might Die in 2016, which has the hits Harambe and Safe. Some of his best songs are where he collaborates with fellow Korean music stars, such as Jay Park and G2, on his track Banned In The Motherland.

His infusion of Asian-American/Korean-American experience into his raps are not only hilarious but well done with an interesting awareness as an Asian-American rapper. In the meantime, check him out on YouTube where he garnered fame for his rap battles. Fans of Wax and Watsky are sure to be into Dumbfoundead for his similar style. Dumbfoundead is a show you don’t want to miss!
