The thrash legends Anthrax and Killswitch Engage just announced that they will be hitting the road to tour together on the “Killthrax” tour. Both groups made their marks in 2016 with new albums and providing great tours in support of their albums.
These tour dates are in support of Anthrax’s 11th album For All Kings (Megaforce) released last February. In addition the group made two striking music videos with director Jack Bennett one with a innovative stop-motion piece of the band sharing the stage with bands like Iron Maiden, Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold, and Slayer. As far as Killswitch Engage, they released the universally Incamate album this past March debuting #6 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Album chart.
The collaborative tour between Anthrax and Killswitch will be a good blend for the fans because they both play metal and have two different forms of the genre and the fans of both bands are “in for a Total Explosion of the Senses” according to Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. Killswitch Engage echos Anthrax’s excitement bringing a powerhouse of a live show from both bands with the perfect combination of veteran acts.
