Women of le beehive and females with “Rihanna-like” confidence can now rejoice. For, The-Dream dropped his latest EP, Love You to Death, yesterday (December 9th) — of which songs “Lemon Lean” and “Rih-Flex” are subsequent answers to Be-yon-khi’s Lemonade and all of those strong, feminist ladies out there, standing under her/there? very own “umbrella”. Que cool.
According to Consequence of Sound, “Love You to Death (no relation to the Tegan and Sara project of the same name) follows The-Dream’s surprise visual album, January’s Genesis. It also comes amidst a very busy year in which the R&B artist collaborated with Kanye West, Beyoncé, Solange, and SBTRKT…”
Further excitement follows ladies and gents. The-Dream has also announced the imminent release of the studio album, Love Affair; of which fans of the uber sexy, uber R&B artist can buy March 24th, 2017. Which is, if one very nerdy person were to do the math equals out to 104 day… or 14 weeks and 6 days, and/or roughly 3 months. But, seriously, who’s counting? Wink Wink.
The-Dream adds, “There’s no direct connection. Love Affair is done. It drops on March 24th. You’ll start to see that rollout at the top of the year. I have thousands of songs that have their own lives. They’re not loved any less than the other songs. I just thought that this was the right time to speak with these songs. Especially with the record ‘Lemon Lean’. It’s about you now trying to understand me. We hear all the time about trying to understand the woman. I think I have a good grasp of that. I have to give you some truths about me and how I feel on this side for all my men that can’t say it how I would.”
Come and get your love, i.e. the new EP, Love You to Death, boys and girls, right hurrr belowwww.
