Forecastle Festival, now in its 15th year, has announced its first wave of 2017 artists, headlined by LCD Soundsystem, Weezer and Odessa. The three-day festival will be held from July 14-16 at Louisville, Kentucky’s Waterfront Park.
Notable undercard acts include Cage the Elephant, PJ Harvey, Run the Jewels, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, GRiZ, X Ambassadors, Vince Staples, NEEDTOBREATHE, Teddy Abrams & Friends, Conor Oberst, Modern Baseball, and Charles Bradley. A number of additional acts will be announced in early 2017.
General admission weekend passes are currently available, with a limited amount priced at $149.50 + fees. VIP weekend passes include front stage viewing areas, an air-conditioned lounge, branded merchandise, access to the Bourbon Lodge, and more. The festival also offers a General Admission Plus option, which features exclusive, air-conditioned lounge access, a private bar and special entrance lines to the festival.
As usual, bourbon will play a featured role at Forecastle. The Forecastle Bourbon Lodge and Gonzo Bar returns this year with a full lineup of bourbon offerings from across the state. The festival will also offer bourbon educational courses and bourbon-inspired culinary experiences. Forecastle’s wildly popular Bourbon Lodge memberships can be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster for $25 plus applicable fees.
Update 01/31/2017: Forecastle Festival has announced the second phase of artists to be added to the bill. Spoon is returning in full force for the celebrations, helping promote their latest album. Also added to the already stellar lineup Capital Cities, K.Flay, What So Not, Whitney, Classixx, Joseph, Chicano Batman, Jaye Jayle, Jeffrey James, Oyster Kids and *repeat repeat.
