Enter Shikari released a new music video for the song “Hoodwinker”.
Enter Shikari is a Bitish rock/post-hardcore band consisting of the members Chris Batten, as the bassist, Roughton “Rou” Reynolds, as the lead vocalist and keyboardist, Rob Rolfe, as the drummer and Liam “Rory” Clewlow, as the guitarist. The band formed in 1999.
The video was directed by Matt Farman and Rou Reynolds and Oleg Rooz, while everyone took part in production. The video begins with the band being stuck in the middle of the ocean with no sight of land. This scene continues throughout the video as the band play their instruments inside the boat and while swimming in the water. The music video can be watched below.
According to Team Rock, Rou Reynolds, the frontman, has said the following about the song:
“Every now and then, outside of album releases and their attendant campaigns, it’s nice to release a song into the wild, out-of-the-blue. To bowl it full force at the faces of the general public without prior warning. Hoodwinker is Enter Shikari angrily calling out your God as an imposter. Which I’m afraid he is. I know you thought all the others were imposters and yours was in fact the real one, but I’m afraid he is a phoney too. We have clear evidence of false paperwork and forged documents. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Please enjoy this piece of angry music though. I hope its frustration and righteous indignation will go some way to dampening the annoying news.”
The band released a new album in November called Live At Alexandra Palace.
