While for many years we were primarily a music magazine, we now also prominently cover the best in entertainment from the world of movies, games and television as well. As it was at the very genesis of our publication, mxdwn is free to all. It always will be. Anyone and everyone everywhere will always be able to enjoy the best of news and editorial content without having to pay to access it.
That being said, as much as we’ve done, we feel we’ve scarcely scratched the surface of what we really want to do. We want to do more for you. Simply put, the realm of online advertising does not provide the income necessary to truly turn on the accelerators for our efforts. As such, we’ve decided to launch our own fund raiser using a new style of crowd funding platform called Patreon. Patreon works like conventional crowd funding platforms you’re familiar with, except instead of a fixed, finite goal, contributors sign up for a monthly benefit. We feel this is the best way to shore up our efforts and raise money to help bring mxdwn to new heights.
