For the tenth year in a row, Travis Barker will put on his MUSINK festival, which brings together the worlds of body art, punk rock and classic cars. The convention takes place over three days, March 17-19 at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. This year’s headliners include some of the most popular punk and hardcore artists of the last few decades.

Performing on the first day of the festival are headliners and skate-punk pioneers NOFX. Led by the enigmatic bassist/singer Fat Mike (who is also the founder and owner of Fat Wreck Chords), the band recently released their latest album this year, First Ditch Effort. Opening for NOFX will be their peers and fellow long-running pop-punkers The Vandals as well as Santa Barbara’s Lagwagon and the shred-punk of A Wilhelm Scream.

Day two will be headlined by The Used. The Utah-based emo-core group is known for their melodic but hard-edged sound, though their most recent release was Live & Acoustic at The PalaceAnother group who peaked in popularity along with the mid-00s post-hardcore scene is Glassjaw. The band was largely inactive over the last few years but did release new song last December, titled “New White Extremity.” Other artists performing on Saturday include Goldfinger, Story of the Year and Hell or Highwater.

Sunday has the slimmest lineup, though it is stacked with some of the biggest names of the 80s-90s melodic hardcore scene. Those bros from the South Bay, Pennywise, will share top billing with Los Angeles punk luminaries Bad Religion. Also performing on Sunday is Swingin’ Utters, a band that made their name on the aforementioned Fat Mike’s Fat Wreck Chords.

The convention will feature hundreds of the most well-respected tattoo artists in the world. Daily tattoo contests will take place over the course of the festival. Additionally, Famous Stars and Straps will present their Low and Slow Car Show, which will feature lowriders from across Southern California. Some of the cars will be from Barker’s own collection.

Previous iterations of the event have featured Deftones and Barker’s own Transplants,  Yelawolf in 2016 and Lucero in 2015. Pennywise and Bad Religion are no rookies at MUSINK, with both headlining in 2015 and 2013 (with the former reuniting for the performance). The Used headlined in 2011 and 2008 and NOFX in 2010. The festival was cancelled in 2009.
