Chicago based rock band Homesafe are kicking off the year with their 2017 North American Winter Tour; joining them will be Life Lessons and Chase Huglin. Although they dislike the term “pop punk,” it’s hard to omit the use of the term when describing their music, and the influence of the genre is clearly heard on their latest EP, Evermore. Despite that, the groups pop punk influence make for incredibly fun, and high energy shows.
The trio formed back in 2014; Ryan Rumchaks, initially toured for with fellow pop punk band– and Chicago natives — Knuckle Puck, before joining up with Tyler Albertson and Emanuel Duran to form Homesafe. Their eponymous debut EP was released in November of 2014, followed by Inside Your Head (2015), and their latest effort Evermore— which they are currently touring to support.
Homesafe’s pop punk influence will no doubt make for a high energy live show when they make their stop in the capital city on January 24th.
