Bethany Cosentino and Best Coast deliver another kind of Christmas tune, this…uh…Thanksgiving. The girl-pop, beach goth music inspires a whole dole of originality to the outdated tradition of the classic holiday crooners. As expected, Cosentino gives those kids out there in Sunny California something to cling onto, while the rest of the country dreams of their very dreamy white Christmases. Finally a song for those with more sand and palm trees, than snow and sleigh bells. Oh yeahhh, Santa baby…
According to Purevolume, Best Coast’s new holiday-inspired single “Christmas and Everyday” is part of an Amazon-exclusive kids special, An American Girl Story — Maryellen 1955: Extraordinary Christmas.
Cosentino comments that, “Christmas And Everyday’ is a song about empowerment and love,” singer Bethany Cosentino says in a press release. “We need to remind our youth and young girls that they are strong and capable of achieving whatever they set their minds to- on Christmas and EVERY day.”
Christmas, the sun, and the beach, and well…female empowerment all combine into a very special kind of holiday season for fans of Best Coast this year.
