Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel Reveal A Perfect Circle Working on New Songs and Will Tour in 2017

Many of us know Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel as the founding members of the band A Perfect Circle. Their journey together began while Howerdel worked as a guitar technician for the tour of the band Tool. He worked closely with the frontman of Tool Maynard. As time progressed they shared their music together eventually leading to the start of something new A Perfect Circle.

Back in July of this year, Maynard announced that his official biography was to be released November 8th by Backbeat books. Fans mostly just see the music career aspect of Maynard’s life and do not realize that there is more than what meets the surface. The book is titled A Perfect Union of Contrary Things written by his longtime friend Sarah Jensen. In promotion of his new biography, Maynard started his book tour November 9 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Yesterday, the book tour reached Los Angeles, California at the Montalban Theater. The event was moderated by Billy Howerdel known for his work with Maynard in A Perfect Circle and from Ashes Divide. During the Q & A session a fan asked about the possibility of new A Perfect Circle songs. The response was a dream come true for fans.  Maynard and Billy confirmed that they have been working together on new songs and that a tour sometime next year will follow. The details for the exact dates of the tour will be announced either by the end of this week or by next week. Luckily, Maynard was able to confirm that they will officially be performing on May 7th at the Hollywood Bowl.
