Every year as the holidays begin, many Americans tune in to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This will mark the 90th anniversary of the parade. One of the highlights of the parade is watching the musical performances in the parade. In the past it has usually been bombarded with mainstream pop stars who lip sync their songs.
This year marks a change from the past by placing some very interesting acts. While you cooking that turkey and making that stuffing, you can watch acts like De La Soul, Regina Spektor, Tony Bennett, The Muppets, Aloe Blacc, Fitz & the Tantrums, Beyonce’s protege Chloe x Halle, and the America’s Got Talent breakout star Grace Vanderwaal.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade starts at 9am Thursday morning. If you are in New York City, hats off to you for seeing the parade in person. For the rest of us around the country, turn your channels to NBC beginning at 9am.
