The Presidents Of The United States of America Resign

As the presidential position has been filled following the election, the 90’s alternative rock band known as The Presidents of The United States of America has announced that they will resign as a band.

The Presidents of The United States of America, also referred as PUSA or the Presidents, are an alternative rock consisting of Chris Ballew, as the vocalist and “basitarist”, Jason Finn, as the drummer and vocalist, and Andrew McKeag, as the “guitbassist” and vocalist. The band also had Dave Dederer, who previously took the role of “guitbassist” and vocalist before leaving in 2004. The band formed in 1993 in Seattle, Washington by Chris Ballew and Dave Dederer while they both attended The Bush School, an independent private K-12 school. After the name was made, Dederer added Jason Finn as the drummer. With the 23 years spent together, the band was able to produced six studio albums, though they did take a have a two year break starting in January 1998 because Ballew quit to spend time with family and pursue other musical opportunities.

According to Consequence of Sound, the frontman, Chris Ballew, posted a statement on Facebook saying “You may have noticed that PUSA has been quiet since the summer of 2015 and here is why…we are no longer functioning as a band. Call it what you will but we have quietly retired from the PUSA business since we are OLD PEOPLE NOW! “Never say never” is a good motto in these cases however we wanted to let you all officially know what is up so you don’t have to fret or wonder. Thanks for all the singing and clapping and happy times and WE LOVE YOU!”

The band has announced this official break up because the members have decided to move on and pursue other opportunities and follow their instincts and interest. According to Ballew, following these new thrills will requiring moving on.
