Bronze Radio Return @ Brooklyn Bowl 1/14

Even if you think that you haven’t heard a song by Bronze Radio Return, you absolutely have. Their music is everywhere. Literally. The song Shake! Shake! Shake! (also the name of their sophomore album) has been featured in countless commercials, promos, and TV shows/movies. Their sound is poppy and polished, but it’s enlightening, feel-good music. It makes you feel like you’re in a music video when you listen to it, and when you see them live it’ll give you the chance to clap and stomp around and make you feel like everything in life is just so pretty and meant to be. They’re very Brett Dennen-esque.

The band first started back in Hartford, Connecticut around 2008, and since the very beginning the band has been all about creating an experience for their listeners through their contagious energy and layered sounds, specifically when they’re performing on stage–whether it’s a small, local show or it’s a big time gig like Firefly or Bonnaroo. Even with such commercial success, though, BRR remains humble and never forgets where it is they came from.

The band pays homage to the music they grew up listening to and how that inspired each one of the six members of the band to love music and want to play it and write it by choosing a name for themselves with such a nostalgic flare. But it’s only their name that has anything to do with nostalgia, as the band’s music is a very present movement, full of fun and positivity.
