Crowned as the Garage Rock king; Ty Segall, has gained popularity through his prominent stylistic approach toward rock. Influenced from historical rock-figures such as, David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Kiss, Black Sabbath, The Stooges and so forth. Segall is continuously updating his musical influences. The Ty Segall Band specifically was illuminated with Black Flag arousals. While more recently, we have seen slower John Lennon attributes- especially in his latest “Orange Color Queen.”

“Orange Colored Queen” is Segall’s newest debuted single that is dedicated to his girlfriend, Deńee. In an interview Segall explained, “I’ve written her many, but I think this is my favorite. I travel around the world for a living and have developed a slight fear of flying. She’s one of the things that make it better for me to travel. Especially when she is with me. She has orange hair, and is my orange color queen. I rarely write songs like this, because it is so easy to sound disingenuous, but I think this one is pretty good.” Segall presents a strong acoustic; mellowed out and slow love song as his first of many songs about to be released.

Taking a break from his tranquilized demeanor, Ty Segall is seen smashing a toilet with a hammer outside of his studio Electrical Audio in Chicago.
