A sort of new-to-the-scene band and also a band of great expectation, Prophets of Rage came to the forefront of their musical genre earlier in 2016. With members of already established bands in the composition of Prophets of Rage, it is no wonder why this band has fans and followers already. Bands such as Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy all have bandmates within Prophets of Rage which makes for a very intriguing set up, and this is even more exciting now that the elusive band has addressed talk on its tour and new music from here on out.
In formation of the band, a group of band members of their own respective bands of late 20th century fame, Prophets of Rage have noted that everyone involved felt that the gathering of the band was only right within a crucial year as this, an election year. Even so, with a musical and political agenda, the livelihood of Prophets of Rage seems to be ongoing past the election due to the band’s own versatility.
Members of the band, including Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and Tim Commerford, have stated that it is in the utmost truth that the band looks to surpass the election year with their band’s approach and that new music should be expected. In fact, Commerford has gone on to say that new music should not only be expected but also anticipated to be the culmination of what the band is working towards. This goal is that the band will be a highly praised “real band and kids eventually are going to be going for our music,” as Commerford explains. With this in mind, Prophets of Rage have also made it known that they will be touring on a busy schedule and that more dates are being added for next year.
