Embarking on an extensive tour covering North America in January, Run The Jewels has fans in a state of suspense for Run The Jewels 3 to officially release. An American hip-hop supergroup formed in 2013, has released two other albums and is on the edge of debuting a third album. Meanwhile, they decided to go on tour.

Supergroup RTJ was formed by the New York City based rapper and producer El-P and Atlanta based rapper Killer Mike. They debuted their first self-titled album Run The Jewels on June 26th, 2013. Recording their first album with Fool’s Gold Records and releasing it as a free digital download. Run The Jewels became an instant sensation due to hit singles like “Run The Jewels”, “Banana Clipper” and “36 Inch Chain”.

Moving forward, they released a second album Run The Jewels 2 on October 24th, 2015. This time around, they released their album through Mass Appeal Records. Then, in September of 2015 they released a whimsical album remix that was composed entirely of cat sounds. Appropriately, they named this album Meow The Jewels. Any proceeds from this album are directly donated to charity.
Since then, fans have only heard teasers about the release of RTJ3. This past September, El-P had tweeted at fans, “every word for #RTJ3 has now officially been recorded. The album is almost finished.” El-P has also mentioned in an interview this fall, “The greatest thing that we artistically have done together.” Between releasing a new album and departing on an across the board tour, Run The Jewels has also announced they would appear as characters in “Gears of War 4.”

About a month and a half long tour, RTJ manages to hit every region in the United States. The tour will feature special guests The Gaslamp Killer, Spark Master Tape, And Cuz. Check out the tour dates and ticketing link below.
