Sparks 99.85% Finished Recording New Album for 2017 Release with Dean Menta of Faith No More

Both legendary Los Angeles indie group Sparks and the Faith No More Blog shared a Facebook picture earlier today in which Dean Menta is recording guitar for the upcoming Sparks upcoming album.

Sparks’ post said their upcoming album is “99.85% complete”.

Menta is an Emmy-award winning music editor who has played with both Faith No More and Sparks. He has contributed to five Sparks albums: Plagiarism (1997) Lil’ Beethoven (2002) Hello Young Lovers (2006) Exotic Creatures of the Deep (2008) and “The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman” (2009).

Sparks announced their new album and 2017 tour in August via Youtube. The group last toured in 2015, and have yet to officially announce tour dates.

They last released an album in 2015 (FFS), as the supergroup FFS–collaboration with Franz Ferdinand.
