L.A. Witch

The 2nd day of Desert Daze took place on Saturday and included L.A. Witch, The Coathangers, Thee Oh Sees and Cherry Glazerr.

One of the best bands of the night was the psychedelic rock group JJUUJJUU whose stage light show was absolutely wonderful to watch. The desert backdrop added to the show which made conertgoers feel like they were tripping on some of the local Desert Daze water.

Primus finished the night at the Moon Stage playing mostly newer material with some cuts from the ’90s to please some of the hardcore fans of the band. At a festival with a ton of “hip” bands, it was fun to see Les Claypool and the gang play their funky weird brand of music. Many fans didn’t know the songs but still rocked out with the band.

Mauricio Alvarado: I've been a concert photographer for the past 5 years. My work has been featured on various music magazines and websites. Some of the bands I've photographed are Yes, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Santana, and many more. I'm obsessed with 70's Progressive Rock music. I enjoy photographing bands that I grew up listening to. I'm also a big vinyl record collector since I was in High School. I always enjoy taking my albums to shows and getting them signed by the bands.
