Robin Pecknold has been busy and his fans should be expecting materials in the next several months. The leading man of Fleet Foxes, Pecknold shared an informative Instagram post recently that lets his fans know what has been going on in Pecknold’s world. See the text of the post below…
“FF record kind of crazy / vast so working on “putting babies to sleep / living my truth” palliative solo album on off days”
In short, Pecknold is letting everyone know that he is constantly working and the creation of new music is an everyday process. Fleet Foxes’s new album, Crack Up, has been described as very different from past material, and, as one may tell from Pecknold’s words, it will be a large album with many different sounds. Even so, the frontman’s solo work is being worked on. From the Instagram post, an attached video provides a small bit of Pecknold and what one may only assume as work from his new album. The folk rock vibe given by the short video is a bit different from his solo work in early 2016, “Swimming.” “Swimming” is reminiscent of a psychedelic, post-apocalyptic energy. On the other hand, months later Pecknold releases this post and the concept of the new album seems different. However, if there is anything that has been repeated by Pecknold, it is that his new solo work and Fleet Foxes’s new album will be a change in pace. See the Instagram post and video below…
