The Radio Dept. will release their first album in six years and are going on tour to celebrate. The album, titled Running Out of Love, is due out October 21st, and the band is set to hit the Bowery Ballroom on March 8th.
The Radio Debt have always been Swedish pop cult heroes, and have the opportunity to break into the mainstream radar with this North American tour. The fact that they have seldomly played shows throughout their career is why we are fortunate enough to get to see them at intimate venues such as Bowery Ballroom.
Long time friends Johan Duncanson and Martin Larsson have been the staples of the band, while other members have rotated in and out through the years. The Radio Dept. are originally from the southern Swedish town of Lund, and got their name from a local gas station turned radio repair shop.
