Emiliana Torrini & The Colorist Orchestra Announce New Live Album For December 2016 Release

Emiliana Torrini and The Colorist Orchestra have teamed up together for a collaborative album that will be released December 9th via Rough Trade. This work is going to be a live album that contains 9 of Emiliana Torrini’s songs that come from her catalog with an extra bonus of 2 brand new songs. Together they have such a strong chemistry musically and it was a necessity for them to document this experience on this new live album.

Emiliana Torrini is known for her interesting and creative works while The Colorist Orchestra is a Belgian ensemble started by Aarich Jespers and Kobe Proesmans in 2013. The Colorist Orchestra is known for revamping established musicians from across all genres using a variety of musical instruments and inventions to develop out of this world music and sounds.

Jespers and Proesmans are fans of Torrini’s catalogue and invited her to collaborate on a series of live concerts which sparked her interest. About the embark on a new venture, she asked them to re-compose one of her songs to see what they were made of. The end product as a rendition of “Animal Games” from her most recent album Tookah. The Colorist Orchestra “re-colored” a total of new eight-piece ensemble to create new live works. This collaboration together has revealed exceptional creating a magical experience.
