Starting in just a few months after the beginning of 2016, BitTorrent made a few key changes to its organization. The lucrative company named two new men in charge. The new leaders and CEOs, Robert Delamar and Jeremy Johnson, made adjustments quicker than expected, doing so as soon as late June. It was at this time that BitTorrent announced a streaming service that is free of advertisements, BitTorrent Now. Basically the new platform served as a mission for Delamar and Johnson to boost the production and sending out of media in an attractive way, being ad-free. However, just a few months into the new organizational subset, the efficacy of BitTorrent Now has been determined.
It is now mid October and just about three months after Delamar and Johnson made the large change to the company. BitTorrent has announced that the service will be shut down, and both executive officers were fired after their respective short stints at BitTorrent. It is believed that a variety of reasons and the loss of employee jobs are causes for the unsuccessful bout of BitTorrent Now. Per reports, the initial hiring of BitTorrent’s ex-CEOs was in order to stress the distribution of media. Although the distribution of media was stressed in the effort expended on BitTorrent Now, the venture barely made it past a quarter of a year.
