The Pixies are excited to announce new dates to kick-off their Fall Tour. Four dates have been added to the docket and all take place in California. The band has not been on tour in a while and these new dates will serve as a primer for their three week tour overseas. The band, with members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering, and the new bassist Paz Lenchantin, is coming off of a well-recieved album called Head Carrier in late September.
With Head Carrier just recently being released the tour is said to emphasize new material and also old classics by the Pixies. In fact, the production and sound of the warm-up California dates is going to be minimal. The Pixies look to draw upon an organic and old-school energy in their music. All band memebers have expressed excitement for the tour and for the anticipation of making music. It’s been recently known that vital member and lead vocalist, Black Francis, does not plan to make another solo album and that the Pixies and the tour remain his focus. With this in mind the beginnings of new Pixies tour and the live performance of the new album give fans something to look forward to. See the tour dates after the flyer below…
