WATCH: Swans Perform New Song “The Man Who Refused to be Unhappy” Live in Brighton

Almost half a year ago, The Swans released a new album and the supposed last album of the band. The Glowing Man was put out last spring and then the band set out on tour. Even so, now it is months later and the still on tour band seems to have more music coming out. Despite this the speculation of their final works together, in recent shows The Swans and frontman Michael Gira have debuted their newest music. Performing in Brighton, the punkish group played their new song “The Man Who Refused To Be Unhappy.” A lengthy number, standing at nearly 12 minutes, was formulated by the band just days before the first performance.

As said, the not so typical song was nearly the length of three songs all in one. With a blues like backbone and a sonorous ora, the song has an odd appeal that is just as quirky as it is intriguing, especially since it has just been put forth live.
