The American-based heavy metal band System of a Down is making a trek across international waters with Code Orange for their upcoming 2017 European Tour. So far, they have only confirmed performances in a limited number of cities, but spectators have reason to believe they may be adding quite a few more cities to the list due to several tease pictures posted to the band’s official instagram a short while ago.
Currently France, The Czech Republic, Poland, and Spain are the only stops on tour, but for a band to rehearse so far ahead of time for only a few cities is extremely unheard of. Therefore European fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for a few more city announcements to be made, especially since SOAD had zero performances or gigs this year. Check below for a complete list of confirmed cities, venues, and dates.
In an interview with Loudwire, band frontman Serj Tankian revealed what is currently in the works for SOAD as far as a new album goes.
“We’re communicating and trying to see if we can bring our material together,” Serj said. “There’s definitely a lot of communication going on, a lot of back and forth. I can’t make a statement in terms of whether we’re going to have a record or not, because we haven’t gone into the studio and done it. But there’s definitely communication going on, songs being played to each other and all that stuff, so it’s good. We’ll see what happens.”
While the bands didn’t get any stage time this year, in 2015 they were killing it at festivals such as Rock in Rio Brasil, and even had to stop their performance several times at the Riot Fest because of several injuries due to the band’s fan base getting riled up in the crowd.
