From songs like “My Immortal”, “Bring Me To Life” and “Going Underground”, Evanescence has knocked listeners socks off with Amy Lee’s god-like singing voice and the other astonishingly talented band members. Primarily their music was released in the early-mid 2000’s. Thus, many of their tours and exciting new songs are now considered aged.
Amy Lee, specifically, has spent the last two years predominately centralizing her life to being a mom. She has had a few side gigs like working on film soundtracks or covering paramount songs. Providentially, she was quoted recently saying, “There is Evanescence in the future.” This has caused uproar from fans and media all over.
By August 2016, there was an announcement that Evanescence is doing a month long tour. Starting in Texas, the tour starts on October 28th and ends in New York on November 23rd. This short-lived but potentially marvelous tour gives fans all over a chance to catch Amy Lee’s voice live in action.
In an interview with Loudwire, she seemed hesitant about giving away too much of the detail about the tour. However, she explained this was because they’re taking it step-by-step in this tour. Lee further explains that she looking forward to trying new things with this tour- making everyone out there curiously awakened about what is about to come from this tour. She further explains other things she is looking forward to, like her fans singing along with her to classic songs like “My Immortal” and the sensation she feels from the crowd. Lastly, she talks about how she is ready to sing the song “The Change”, not one of Evanescence most famous songs, but her favorite to preform. She says that when she sings this song she is able to release her mind and feel the music. Tickets had gone on sale August 26th; fans are slowly getting closer to the tour dates that have yet to arrive.
