Korn opened their United States tour with a bang at the Louder than Life Festival in Louisville, KY this weekend. The festival goers smart enough to fit the popular metal band in their set itinerary got a debut performance of Korn’s recently released single “A Different World,” and got to see another industry legend rock the stage with them. Lucky for us, someone captured a video of the performance so dedicated fans who weren’t at the festival can at least momentarily pretend we were.
After an enthusiastic crowd-surfer was slowly moved across the frame, Korn’s leading man Jonathan Davis can be seen on stage trashing with none other than Corey Taylor from fellow metal band Slipknot. The crowd cheered and threw up the rock horns as they jammed with the guys on stage, creating an incredible atmosphere that can even be felt through the video. Towards the end around 3:09, the two icons came together for a friendly hug before gunning it off the stage. Could there be a more beautiful sight to true hardcore metal fans? Korn will be headlining at the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA on Oct. 22 and 23 so you still have a chance to see them in a festival setting. If not, check out their list of tour dates and see if Korn’s coming to your town.
They will be coming out with their 11th studio album “Serenity in Suffering” later this month.
