Rare Mike Watt Live Album Featuring Backing Band with Pat Smear, Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder to Be Released

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings will release a live concert album of Mike Watt’s “ring spiel tour” ’95, coming out on November 11. The album documents Watt’s first solo tour in 1995, and his live performance at the legendary Metro Club in Chicago. It’s the first time the recordings are available for purchase.

The ’95 solo tour featured an all-star band backing up Watt. Joining him on stage was a rotating group of musical talent, which included Dave Grohl, William Goldsmith and Pat Smear (Foo Fighters) and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam). The historic line-up of raw musical talent makes the album a remarkable and rare accomplishment.

The album gives a playback of the May 6,1995 show at the Metro, where Watt – ‘the man in the van with a bass in his hands’- headlined an energetic set.
