Before the American mathcore band Dillinger Escape Plan bids their last farewell, they have a few more gems up their sleeve that fans can look forward to as they release their last album together. They have released another single from their upcoming album Dissociation, called “Symptom of Terminal Illness.”
The track a little different from previous projects, but still has that experimental sound that fans came to love about the band. The opening begins with soft and mildly distorted intro, before the aggressive guitar riffs and lead’s hardcore vocals turn the song into a definite head-banger.
Dillinger Escape Plan first announced an “extended hiatus” in August and earlier this month, clarified what fans were most afraid of– a permanent break up. They consoled their fans by making sure to mention they’re leaving on good terms, and on a high note. There just comes a time when every artist must end the show before it drags on.
Their final album Dissociation will be out Oct. 14 via Party Smasher Inc.
Dillinger Escape Plan announced their Fall 2016 tour dates where they will kick off in Baltimore, MD and end in Hartford, CT. Catch the band on tour for their last hoo-rah and in the meantime, listen to their new track “Symptom of Terminal Illness” below.
