Radiohead has released yet another Paul Thomas Anderson directed video. This time the video features a song from their 2016 LP A Moon Shaped Pool. The clip is extremely simple and not an actual music but instead a performance video. It features nothing but Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood playing two guitars accompanied by a vintage drum machine – a Roland CR78 to be precise. The performance video follows the band’s previous video to feature direction from the acclaimed filmmaker, “Daydreaming.” Despite only four instruments in the mix, the video has an incredibly lush sound. Yorke and Greenwood have unmatched chemistry, intertwining and layering their guitar figures over and across each other, all over the delicate electronic drum beat.

The band has had a busy year with the release of the Mercury Prize-nominated A Moon Shaped Pool just a few months ago. Then, they released a series of vignettes based upon the critically-acclaimed album. The band also hosted a listening party taking place at record stores across the world, although one event in Turkey was the target of a random attack.
In other news, the band released a live album Pathways to Paris in July of this year. The live album features contributions from Flea and Patti Smith. Proceeds from the album’s sales will go to 350.org and the UNDP.
Radiohead is currently finishing off major world tour that visited locales like Amsterdam, London, Los Angeles and New York City. The performed at Outside Lands in San Francisco and Lollapalooza Berlin, and will perform later in the Fall at Austin City Limits.
