Last night on “The Tonight Show,” American indie-folk band Bon Iver debuted a new song from their upcoming album 22, A Million, which drops September 30. Just when we thought Bon Iver was dwindling, Justin Vernon, band frontman, announced earlier this year that the band was working on new music. For the many patiently waiting for a new Bon Iver album, the debut of the song “8 (circle)” comes as a sweet, but tantalizing treat. The last Bon Iver album, Bon Iver, Bon Iver, came out in 2011.
The band released studio version tracks from 22, A Million in the preceding months, including “22 (OVER S∞∞N)”, “10 d E A T h b R E a s T ⚄ ⚄,” and a video for “33, ‘God’“.
In this performance on “The Tonight Show,” Justin Vernon was joined on stage by The Staves, Anaïs Mitchell, and Arone Dyer of Buke and Gase. Watch it here:
