Red Bull Sound Select is ready to take over Los Angeles again with a host of shows throughout the fall known as 30 Days in LA. The 2016 lineup was announced today via Rolling Stone and includes an eclectic range of artists. Closing out the festival as the de facto headliner is Nick Murphy, who just days ago announced to the world he would abandon his former moniker as Chet Faker. Other artists having noteworthy 2016 include Jhené Aiko, Empress Of, Sunflower Bean, YG and Car Seat Headrest (though for Will Toledo, not necessarily always good news).
The 30 Days in LA series will begin November 1 with a performance by Sampha and Kelsey Lu and conclude with Murphy.
Hip-hop is well represented with Pusha-T, Dej Loaf, Tory Lanez and the previously mentioned YG. Last year saw the very-surprising surprise performance of Nicki Minaj at Teragram Ballroom of all places, so expect those artists to bring some of their big-name friends on stage throughout the concert series.
Other notable names performing throughout the month-long extravaganza include Haim, White Lung, Charli XCX, AlunaGeorge and Lido. Stones Throw, Laneway and OWSLA will present special events on separate nights throughout the series.
