The iconic songwriter and visual artist Kim Gordon released a brand new track, “Murdered Out” and its name functions as a double meaning. While the name is appropriate for the song’s dark undertones, it’s also a reference to the popular slang term “murdered out.”
“When I moved back to LA I noticed more and more cars painted with black matte spray, tinted windows, blackened logos, and black wheels,” said Gordon. “A statement-making rejection of the shiny brand new look, the idea of a new start, the promise of power, and the freedom on the open road”
Kim Gordon’s new track certainly stands out to the rest, and stands as a fitting symbol for the lifestyle this free spirit intends to live.
Fans are rocking out to the new release as it’s gotten almost 20,000 hits on YouTube since only being uploaded earlier today. Check below to listen to the whole track.
She recently collaborated with Alex Knost of Tomorrow’s Tulips to make an album Glitterbust. The album was released in March of this year and was widely received by audiences. Another fan favorite was the recent video for “Close Up” in 2015, when Gordon paired up with Canadian electronic artist Peaches for steamy NSFW performance. Watch the music video here.
