Yoko Ono Announces 11-Album Reissue Project

Yoko Ono has teamed up with the Secretly Canadian label to reissue her entire music library from 1968 to 1985. November 11th marks the day that the reissue project will be available with a trio of Ono LPs 1968’s Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins, 1969’s Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With Lions and 1970’s Plastic Ono Band.

For each reissue, the album will reconstruct the original vinyl packaging along with the remastered audio.  Now this will be the first time that these Yoko Ono albums will be available for digital downloads. Featured on all three of the November 11th reissue includes bonus tracks that are not featured on the original release.  The Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins album contains the new release track “Remember Love” while the Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With Lions plays “Song for John” and “Mulberry.”  The last album Plastic Ono Band has even more tracks that are not included on the album with the extended version of “Why” plus “Open Your Box,” “Something More Abstract” and “The South Wind.”

There is a total of 11 Ono albums that are going to be reissued over the next couple years which include the 1971’s Fly, 1981’s Season of Glass that was recorded after the death of John Lennon in December of 1980.  Another featured album for the reissue include the 1969’s Unfinished Music No. 3: Wedding Album.  Preorder for the first three reissues will be through Secretly Canadian.
