The Pixies have just released the video for their track “Tenement Song“. The tune comes from their upcoming album Head Carrier set for release on September 30th.

The animated video was created by Frank! Collective. It was inspired by Black Francis’s lyrics as well as Vaughn Oliver’s album artwork. The video includes a combination of painted animation, old school lightbox, rotoscoping, and digital compositing. It features a rat running around a building where residents are gambling their organs in a card game.

Earlier this summer the group shared two other songs from the album. “Um Chagga Lagga” came out in July while “Talent” was released in August.

Head Carrier will be the band’s sixth studio album. It will be their first with new bassist Paz Lenchantin. Lenchantin has been touring with the group since 2014, but this is her first time as a permanent member.
