Alternative rock singer Amanda Fucking Palmer has announced five upcoming tour dates in a recent tweet. However, the only way to view the dates and obtain tickets is to donate to Palmer’s Patreon account. The shows will be in North America and will be solo performances by Palmer.
Amanda Palmer first became famous as one half of the duo The Dresden Dolls. Palmer served as the lyricist, lead vocalist, pianist, and composer of The Dresden Dolls. She is also part of the duo Evelyn Evelyn, whose music concerns a fictional conjoined twin named Evelyn and Evelyn. Additionally, she is the lead singer songwriter of Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra, a project which is not in fact orchestral, but a rock act. Beyond all of these groups, Amanda is also a highly successful solo artist. Amanda has also partook in performance art, including posing as a living statue called “The 8 Foot Bride”.
Palmer is currently contributing to Michael McQuilken’s project JIB.
