It’s been a long time coming for My Bloody Valentine fans, and the time has come for the highly anticipated vinyl reissues of Loveless and Isn’t Anything. Thirteen years has passed since My Bloody Valentine promised quality vinyl records of the origionals, since 2003 when Warner Bro’s released “unofficial” vinyls that were no more than sloppy copies of the CD version. The lead band member Kevin Shields expressed his dissatisfaction with the releases in an interview with Pitchfork and said:
“In America, Warner Bros. licensed Loveless and Isn’t Anything to Plain Records, and they basically just ripped off the CD and put it on vinyl [in 2003]. They did an awful, terrible job. It was done without my permission, and the sound quality was 100% wrong. It was a rip off to anyone who bought it.”
In 2012 the band reissued digital and CD versions of the original 1988 analog tapes, but fans were disappointed when there was no sign of the remastered vinyls they were promised. Now, die-hard fans can make space in their record collection because Abbey Road Studios’ sound engineer Sean Magee, has been posting pictures of himself in the studio, updating fans as he cuts and edits the original analog tapes. While there are no official dates for the reissues, you can bet they’re around the corner. Check below for album art and the complete track lists.

Recently, several band members have been featured on different songs and albums. Colom Ó Cíosóig teamed up with Mazzy Star’s vocalist Hope Sandoval for an unbelievable album while Kevin Shields was featured in Le Volume Courbe’s “The House.”
