LISTEN: How to Dress Well Releases New Song “What’s Up”

American singer-songwriter How to Dress Well (né Tom Krell) has shared a new song “What’s Up” from his upcoming fourth LP Care, which is out September 23 via Weird World/Domino. Since the release of 2014’s well-received What Is This Heart?, Krell has been pretty silent until late July earlier this year when he announced Care, along with its first single “Lost Youth / Lost You” along with an accompanying music video.

“What’s Up” features lush, orchestral instrumentation that has a sprinkle of tropical flavors, creating a soft, comfortable and simple track. How to Dress Well had released a brief a cappella video of “What’s Up” over the weekend along with a tweet of the song’s lyrics:

How to Dress Well, since his 2010 debut LP Love Remains, has been both a critic’s darling (particularly with Pitchfork, with every single one of his albums so far having received a “Best New Music” label) and a commercial act, writing truly enjoyable songs that are accessible, yet not undermined by generic or boring songwriting.
