Police Called to the Home of Chris Brown After Reported Disturbance

Early this Tuesday morning the Los Angeles Police were called to famous singer Chris Brown‘s home in the San Fernando Valley.  Apparently, officers were called around 3 am by a woman asking for help stating that she was threatened by the performer.  LAPD Robbery-Homicide division is handling the case due to the high profile nature.  After unsuccessfully making an attempt to enter Brown’s residence the officers obtained a search warrant this afternoon.

It is finally reported that Chris Brown has been arrested this afternoon before 5 pm for assault with a deadly weapon confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.  After the officers entered the residence with the search warrant, officials spent several hours at Browns residence searching for the weapon before he was taken into custody.  The performer will be booked into a LAPD jail before being transferred to county jail.

Shortly after the warrant was served, Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos arrived at the performers home.  According to the media media outlets, the woman claims that Brown pointed a gun at her before she was able to escape.  With such a large police presence outside the home, Brown posted videos on Instagram denying any wrong-doing.  In one video the singer rants against the police and media stating that he is being wrongfully portrayed as a villain and that he is not crazy

This of course is not Chris Brown’s first run in with the law and not the first time that the police have been called to the Brown residence this year due to disturbance to the peace complaints.  Back in 2009 Brown was sentenced to five years of probation in the 2009 hitting of then girlfriend Rihanna.  Almost near the end of his probation, he was arrested again and served a three month sentence for violating his probation.  In March 2015, his probation was finally lifted.
