California’s Inaugural Ohana Festival kicked off this weekend and included a killer set by Eddie Vedder. The Pearl Jam legend brought out a number of big acts for collaborations on stage. Vedder made his presence known throughout the weekend while he joined other artists for their sets as well. The rock legend has been bringing out surprise guests by the droves at his live performances this summer and seems to have no plans to stop sharing his spotlight.
Perhaps the most epic performance of the weekend was given to us by Vedder and Elvis Costello when the duo performed “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding” during Costello’s set.
Vedder dropped by during X’s set to sing “The New World” with the punk act and later crashed Jack Irons’ set to slay Pink Floyd’s “Shine On You Crazy Diamond.” Check out both the performances below.

During his set, Vedder introduced surfer Kelly Slater with an acoustic guitar to croon Pearl Jam’s “Indifference” in what sounded like a performance straight out of a Jack Johnson set. Vedder later performed Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World” with support from Band of Horses.
