Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, 42, feels like he’s beaten the odds of his life with the luck he has, and not many people can say that, or at least admit it when in the limelight.
In a recent phone interview that Taylor had with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he talked about what it’s like to be him and reflected on one of the biggest scares of his life.
“If I hadn’t caught it, I would be paralyzed.” Taylor said. “The doctor told me that not too long ago, which scared the crap out of me.”
Although Taylor said it might not show a lot, he assured that he’s humbled by the success, and that it just makes him hungry for more.
During their 2016 North American tour that kicked off in Nashville, Tennessee, with Marilyn Manson and Of Mice & Men, Loudwire reported that Taylor performed in a neck brace as he was still recovering from his spinal surgery. The tour was postponed because of the unplanned surgery that Taylor needed.
He may have been testing his luck by performing a 17-song set while still recovering from a life-changing surgery, but it seems that nothing can stop Taylor’s passion for performing for his fans.
Slipknot is still currently on tour with and will soon perform at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Being that Las Vegas is where Taylor currently resides, he said that he’s excited to be part of this venue’s “new” history.
