Feist was once an integral member of the group. She was on the album Feel Good Lost and toured with the band between 2002 and 2005.

Broken Social Scene confirmed Feist’s post in July stating that they had begun working on their latest album. This album will be the follow up to 2010’s Forgiveness Rock Record. The group is also currently on a break from their 2016 tour. They had several shows in July and will start back up again in September in Ireland.
