According to Blabbermouth, Co-founder and lead singer of rock band Evanescence, as well as Grammy Award-winner, Amy Lee will be releasing a brand new 12-track children’s album entitled Dream Too Much, via Amazon as an Amazon Original.
The new album features 12 newly recorded songs, seven of which are originals and five of which are popular covers Amy chose to take her shot on. Dream Too Much will be available for Amazon Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Austria and Japan starting on September 30 to exclusively stream and enjoy on the Prime Music platform, and best news is it won’t cost members any additional costs. The album will also become available for members to purchase and download in MP3 format in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.
Amy’s upcoming album will join the Amazon ever-growing library of original children’s and family music which streams exclusively on Prime Music, the new album is a collection of songs that encourage kids and adults to sing along together. Lee’s son and her own musical upbringing is was what led her to be inspired to create Dream Too Much, she even had her backing vocals sung by her siblings, and instrumentals played by both her father and uncle.
“This album is very personal to me,” said Amy Lee. “My husband and I had our first baby in 2014 and he has been the center of the inspiration for this children’s album. Every song on this album has a story — whether it’s an original for our son based on his favorite things or a song my dad used to sing to me when I was a little girl. I can’t begin to tell you how fulfilling this project has been and how proud I am to unveil it to listeners on Prime Music.”
