This week, Public Image Ltd. played a show at Blondie nightclub in Santiago, Chile. While performing, frontman John Lyndon was struck in the forehead by a glass bottle thrown from the audience, temporarily bringing the show to a halt.
With his head and clothes covered in blood, Lyndon was understandably frustrated, responding “What a fucking coward.” The frontman did not stay angry for too long. After briefly scanning the crowd with security, Lyndon decided that the show must go on, wrapping a towel around his head announcing “We continue!” The singer tweeted photos from the show along with the message, “Glass attack last night in Chile. No reflection on the rest of the crowd. Great gig. It lives.” Check out clips from the performance below.
