Boxed In, an electronic band based in London, has recently released the sixth song, on their upcoming fourth album The Melt, called Forgot. The song has been released nearly two months after the album’s single Jist.

With the help of Dan Carey, a record producer who has worked with artists such as Sia and Toy, the song became a combination of electronic and pop music with its looping vocals and dynamic drum beats, similar to the work on Jist. The song adds an effect on the dance music that Boxed In has created through their past releases, as it serves as another example of the theme of the band. The song in all is intended to add a specific vision of the album which is to “capture a young man at a transitional stage, preparing to enter the next, more mature phase of his life”.

According to Noisey, the frontman, Oli Bayston, said “’Forget’ is another conversational with my inner psyche. It’s my conscience allowing me to forget a period in my life I’d rather leave behind. This is also the first track the band all wrote together in the studio.” about the song.

The song can be listened to below.

While the album has a month left until its release, pre-ordering is available on the band’s website.
