A year ago, a group of 1,000 rockers in Cesena Italy came together in a unified mission to bring Dave Grohl to their city. Known as the Rockin’1000 performed the Foo Fighter’s “Learn to Fly” together in what would become a viral performance that succeeded; a few months later, Grohl flew over to the 1,000 person city.
The Rockin’1000 lives on together and is stronger than ever. After recruiting another 200 members, the mega-band reunited for a full live show, covering a number of classic and alternative rock covers, including The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army”, David Bowie’s “Rebel, Rebel”, Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, Blur’s “Song #2, The Black Keys’ “Gold on the Ceiling”, AC/DC’s “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll)”, The Beatles’ “Come Together”, Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power”, The Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop”, Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild”, and The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony”.
