James Bay @ The Fillmore Miami Beach 9/21

James Bay is coming to The Fillmore in Miami Beach with JOSEPH on Wednesday, September 21st. With a great voice and a goal to move people with his words, James Bay has been blazing a trail with songs that convey a ton of emotion. He has become very popular since he first appeared on the scene.

James Bay is an English singer-songwriter from Hitchin. Ever since he was a kid he was inspired to play guitar and perform. He made that a reality when he released his debut EP in 2013. It did not stop there though because his popularity exploded when he released two singles in 2014: “Hold Back The River” and “Let It Go”. Both were from his first full length album which released in early 2015, “Chaos and the Calm”. I think that he has a great voice. Take a listen to his two singles and I think that you will agree. Its not just that though, the guitar in “Let It Go” is very ethereal and soothing; it makes you take in every word.

Along with James Bay will be JOSEPH, a band made up of three sisters from Portland. Their sound is more upbeat than James, so they should act as a good foil to his slower, thoughtful music. If you’re a fan of indie-rock with some great guitar playing and singing, then head to the Fillmore in September because this show should be for you.

Henry Ehlebracht: I am an NYU student from Miami who loves writing. I am a dual major in Philosophy and Journalism and I'd love to share my thoughts on music with you. My two favorite music genres are definitely hip hop and electronic/dance, but I'm really open to anything that piques my interest. I'm currently in New York for school. Electronic album reviewer for MXDWN. Although I write about music for the website, my media interests stretch into many areas including movies and video games.
