Classixx are coming to 1306, the bar and venue in Downtown, on Friday, September 30th. Inspired by collections of classic tracks they listened to in the past, this duo has been making some great and different EDM over the past few years.
Classixx is a DJ and Production duo made up of Tyler Blake and Micheal David from Los Angeles. They have known each other since they were kids and started the group in late 2000’s. Their style of EDM is very unique and hearkens back to music of the 80’s with their synths and beats. They have also taken influence from old school R&B and other artists and periods of time. In short their music is not tied to any one era or style; it takes in all of the influence of the past to create something new and fun. They released their first album “Hanging Gardens” in 2013 and their new album “Faraway Reach” was released this year. Take a listen to “Holding On” and “Just Let Go” below.
1306 is a bar and venue in Downtown that has a classy, yet laid back vibe, and a large space in the back for performers. It is well decorated and has a great view of the Miami skyline. If you’re looking for a fun night out with some good, unique dance music, then this show should be for you.
